A whole house water filter installs at your main water line — before water reaches any tap, shower, or appliance. Every drop of water in your home passes through the filter.
For chloramine removal, we use catalytic carbon filtration. Regular carbon filters work for chlorine, but chloramine requires the catalytic version — it's specifically designed to break the chloramine bond and remove it completely.

What a Water Filtration System Actually Is
Every whole-home system, ours or anyone's, comes down to the same core parts. Here's each one, what it does, and exactly what we build with.
The Mineral Tank
The pressure vessel where treatment actually happens. Water enters at the top, passes down through the media bed, and exits treated at the bottom.
Tank size determines how much media you get, and the media is what does the work. Our standard tank holds 1.5 cubic feet, with 2.0 and larger available for bigger homes and higher water use.

The Control Valve
The brain of the system, mounted on top of the tank. It meters every gallon your home uses, decides when the media needs recharging, and runs the cleaning cycles automatically.
Any water treatment professional can service it and source parts for it. No proprietary lockouts that tie you to one company forever.

Softening Resin
Tiny ion-exchange beads that trade hardness minerals (calcium and magnesium) for sodium as water passes through. This is what makes water feel soft, stops scale, and protects appliances.
Resin comes in grades. We only ship 10% crosslink resin, a denser bead that holds up to Houston's chloraminated city water far longer than the standard 8% grade.

Catalytic Carbon
Carbon processed to break down chloramine, the disinfectant most Houston utilities use. Standard carbon handles free chlorine fine but wears out fast against chloramine.
Carbon needs contact time: water has to spend time in the bed to be treated, and media volume is what buys that time. That's why the cubic feet in a carbon system matter as much as the media type.
We build with: catalytic carbon for chloramine districts; standard carbon where your utility uses free chlorine
The Brine Tank
The second, shorter tank that holds salt. When the resin fills up with hardness minerals, the valve draws brine through the bed to recharge it, then rinses everything to the drain.
You keep it topped up with salt (most homes use one to two 40-lb bags a month) and the system handles the rest on its own.

The Bypass & Connections
Every install includes a bypass valve, so your home keeps running water even while the system is being serviced, plus labeled shutoffs and code-compliant plumbing.
Installation is performed by licensed and insured contractors, and we verify treated water before we leave.
